I have not been online in here in ages but everyday just read the blog.
I am thoroughly annoyed it has vanished. Is this the same as when it crashed or has she really stopped?
I do specifically recall nasty postings on here getting a jibe at Miss Godley, maybe she got pissed off at people attacking her?
I will go check her website in case it is on there.
Hope so or Chortle has lost a valuable reason to come here. well as far as I am concerned.

Sorry everyone, I had started to receive very evil and disturbing emails from certain people through this Chortle Blog. I got tired reading them and worried about the sanity of some people!
It seems they could not stop reading my blog but equally could not stop hating it, I somehow became 'literary heroin' and incited some scary thoughts and intermissions of bizzare mental behaviour.
This was madness, people who dont say stuff to your face..know what I mean? God knows and God help them...bless their wee tortured souls.
This in itself did not worry me, I am not actually scared of anyone to be honest (other than the scary man in my dreams) but to have to keep arguing with a bunch of very stupid angry open spots through a website became too much like hard work for me.
It also got you guys angry and involved in the fight as well, that is not fun.
Just for the conspiracy theorist's -The blog crashing was no big problem and the Lovley Mr Bennet has been nothing but kindness.
I want to thank everyone who emailed and sent me nice thoughts and messages, I do appreciate it all.
To all of the people who accumulated the 50,0000 + hits the blog got, i want to also thank...that includes the scary nutters who hated it , yet pushed it up in the viewings!
My life is very good just now, lots of stuff that is very exciting is happening,
I have new management, new opportunities- Ashley is wonderful and keeping me on my toes and husband is alive and well, the black man in my head is working overtime and work is not only plentiful but good.
Merry Christmas to all and I hope to see all my friends on the circuit.

Janey, it was a real pleasure (and sometimes a harsh pain) to read your blog over the past however many months you did it for... at times I was repulsed by the detail you showed, but otherwise I was totally enamoured by your daily stream of stuff.
But I was disgusted to hear about the offensive mails you've been getting. I seriously can't consider what would make someone go out of the bounds of a forum, when they don't even know you, to attack you.
Fuck them. And if you ever need hauners I'll be standing by.

So where has the Janey Godley strand gone?
Has it been accidentally completely deleted yet again? This is the second - or possibly third - time her strand has been deleted.
It's beginning to become a strange habit.
There was nothing in the postings that showed Janey in a bad light. So why has the strand disappeared. Was it because one of the postings showed the person who posted it - 'Jonathan Creek' in a bad light and Jonathan Creek was then (quite reasonbably) identified?
It's a free country. If Jonathan Creek - never specifically named but identified by someone (not me) as Nil Points - decided to post the message, why delete the entire Janey Godley strand and not just Jonathan Creek's message?
Last time, Janey's blog was deleted after it got 60,000-70,000 visitors. It was deleted from a point immediately before Jonathan Creek had started posting on the strand. This time, in just a couple of weeks, the Janey Godley postings got about 900 visitors in a couple of weeks.
Deleting Janey's strands seems more aimed at damaging Janey or protecting 'Jonathan Creek' than anything else.

Are we not allowed to ignore Jonathan Creek? Is people answering or argiung with MRCreek enough to get the thread deleted? Mr Creek has more power than God on this forum.
Makes me sad, but i do respect Steve and his opinion, after all he gave me two four star reviews! How can he be wrong?

No, I was referring to the strand that has been going for a couple of weeks headed "Janey Godley".
It seems to have been removed not because of anything abusive that was said about Janey (that was allowed to remain) but because 'Jonathan Creek' was identified. And not even identified by name. She was identified as being 'Nil Points'. That identifying of 'Jonathan Creek' seems to have resulted in the entire Janey Godley strand being deleted - just as Janey's blog was accidentally deleted during "Kings of Comedy" - but only from a point immediately before the first abusive 'Jonathan Creek' posting appeared.
In the recent 'Janey Godley' strand, being nasty to Janey seemed to be acceptable, but identifying 'Jonathan Creek' as 'Nil Points' was obviously totally unacceptable.

Janey's blog crashed as I was trying to unpick some of the trolling on it, and it took me an hour and half to rebuild from a backup her webmaster had - time I don't exactly have on my hands. It was honestly nothing more conspiratorial than a genuine accident, I can assure you.
The other thread degenerated into personal sniping and counter-sniping; and I really don't want Chortle to be used for personal feuds (as opposed to genuinely believed criticism) no matter who's involved. It's polluting, and tedious for everyone else.

The Chortle forums are full of short-term aggro between people; this usually lasts for half a page or a page and nothing is done about it; it happens on public forums; it doesn't excuse allowing personal attacks on Janey to remain and continue then removing the entire thread when the attacker is criticised and identified. Why not remove the attacker rather than the entire thread?
It is also a tad odd, on the current Comedians Forum, to close and lock the actve Janey Godley thread, leaving the inactive and not immediately visible one.
No conspiracy theory. Just one rule to prevent 'Jonathan Creek' being identified and one rule for everyone else, huh?

Ava, I have no axe to grind with you what so ever, I am more than happy your New York trip was a success, you deserve all the best. I am disgusted the way you have been accused on this web forum and have personally written to Mr Bennet concerning this yesterday and expressed my concern over the way you were being treated here.
I have no issue with you or Miss McKay but feel that others make sure it is manipulated to keep all the females fighting as this just reinforces the way some people like to see women behave.
Other people’s success does not equal other people’s failure.
I admired the way you kept up the hard work on KOC.
I stand by every accolade I gave you on national TV and still believe you will get every success that will come to you.
As regards to the conversation between myself and Mr Reginald D Hunter with regards to you, I believe the version you have is very different from the actual one spoken.
